SEA Bearing Select

SEA Bearing Select

SEA select bearings and bearing kits are specially selected bearing variations that are perfect replacement for its automotive application

SEA select bearings and bearing kits are manufactured exactly according to OEM specifications, as it is intended to be.

Bearing families of SEA Bearing Select

Ball Bearings

Punctual contact between rolling elements

and rings

Roller Bearings

Linear contact between rolling elements

and rings

Bearing Lubrication of SEA Bearing Select

Bearings are generally lubricated with the 2 types of lubricants mentioned below.

SEA Select bearings are lubricated to suit automotive applications, increasing bearing life, preventing corrosion, reducing friction, reducing heat and enhancing performance.

Grease

Most common type (about 90%) for rolling bearings. Selection of the right grease is thus paramount.

Oil

Used mainly for high speed applications as it dissipates heat better than grease.

Integral Seals of SEA Bearing Select

Bearings are generally lubricated with the 2 types of lubricants mentioned below.

SEA Select bearings are lubricated to suit automotive applications, increasing bearing life, preventing corrosion, reducing friction, reducing heat and enhancing performance.

Metal Shield (No Contact)

A metal layer is pressed into the outer ring of the bearing. Keep grease within bearing by centrifugal force

Rubber Shield (No Contact)

A synthetic rubber is bonded to a metal ring which is fixed to the outer bearing ring

Rubber Shield (Contact)

Similar to rubber shield (No contact) except with an additional inner lip which makes contact with the V-slot of the sealing surface of the inner ring

ABS System of SEA Bearing Select

The function ABS is to prevent individual wheels from locking up. It aims to provide steering control to the driver in case of an emergency.

SEA Select bearings thus placed great emphasis on our bearing's ABS system, ensuring drivers are able to be in control when most needed.

Sprocket Encoder

Metallic impulse ring that rotates at the same speed as the wheel (may not be mounted on bearing)

Magnetic Encoder

Magnetic ring instead of a metallic ring. Magnetic sensor (separate active sensor) is able to detect rotation speed of wheel
